Buzzworthy ‘Vintage’ Posters for Modern Day Movies by MY COLLEAGUE… wait, what?

So it turns out one of my new colleagues is famous. Peter Stults is a digital artist who works in our Annual Giving department.

He just presented his work at Colette in Paris, France, this past Memorial Day weekend. Basically what he has done is re-imagine modern day movie posters with movie greats from the past.

He gave us a HILARIOUS presentation on how this all went down at our quarterly meeting today. Check out one of the many articles on his work.

A new beginning

I never wanted to have my own blog.

Ever since I got my first professional writing job as a newspaper reporter in 2003, my desire to write for fun has decreased. Graduate school papers were a particular challenge because I’d be writing for a living all day and the last thing I wanted to do on nights and weekends was write some more.

But I got through it and since I began handling publicity for the university I work for as well as a few freelance clients, I realized I missed writing.

That’s why this feels like a new beginning– a “real” blog by Gina Vergel. It took baby steps. I’m a social media (Twitter, Facebook) fanatic and then I opened a Tumblr. I won’t limit what I share on here to one topic. I like crime news, politics, sports, music, fitness, etc. And I like humor.

So sit back, enjoy the show and feel free to give me feedback!
